Program Pavilion
For this build class, we as groups of ~8 people were instructed with designing an affordable pavilion that could go somewhere on campus. This meant coming up with a site, and a structural medium and form. We decided to experiment with the school pool to see what we could do with a non-Euclidean and buoyant surface. We enjoyed that we could make something that floated while still remaining structurally sound. By just using pool noodles and 3d printed connections, we were able to create a rigid spaceframe arch that could float on the pool, providing a bit of shade, and a bit of fun that can be moved easily by one person.
