My brother got a new wood stove, and also had just cut down a big tree near his house so that he could get solar on his roof. All this to say, he needed some new wood storage, and would like to get his tractor out of the weather, too.

A project that he planned to make by himself and with friends when available; this project had to be simple and efficient. With waxing and waning wood needs, and thoughts about different uses he might have for the shed, a modular floor was designed for ease of assembly and disassembly. These floor palettes sit on CMU blocks that abut the columns. The wood needs to breath to allow for it to dry properly, but sunlight is to be avoided. Typical of woodsheds, alternating horizontal boarding is used to achieve these results while providing necessary shear strength. The tractor port uses the highest point of the roof to fit the clearance, and has plenty of length to accommodate any tractor extensions or additional tools like the wood splitter.
